Wine Glass Wednesday 8/26

Hello out there!

Well, it is another Wine Glass Wednesday! So, shocker! We will be featuring a wine glass.
This weeks wine glass is helping tell the story of a rebirth. It is featuring a phoenix. If you are familiar with that mythological beast, you know that it burns and then is reborn from the ashes. I personally love the symbolism of the phoenix; I identify with the story of rising from the ashes. When my life took an abrupt turn, I had to rise from the ashes.
So without further ado, here is this weeks wine glass!

Peanut Butter Banana Sandwich!

Well I really promised this post last week.....but I failed and ran out of time! Soooooooo here is a special treat I discovered!

I originally saw a picture of this on Pinterest without a link, so I ran with it! Now I don't know about you, but I love peanut butter. I could probably eat an entire bag of Reese's....or an entire jar of peanut butter. So when I saw these healthier dessert alternatives, it seemed like a no brainer!

You start with a cookie sheet. I covered mine in foil for easy clean up! (I'm all about easier clean up!)
Next you peel and slice your bananas. You can slice these in any thickness you desire; the thicker you make the slices, the thicker your final product would be.

Next you'll want to lay half of your slices on your prepared cookie sheet and prep your peanut butter. Now, there are a couple of ways you can do this. One way is to just use a spoon or measuring spoon and spoon a little bit of peanut butter onto each half on the cookie sheet. Another way is to take a ziplock bag and put some peanut butter in one corner of it, then cut a small piece of the corner off to make a pastry bag hack! See below.

You can use any kind of Peanut Butter you'd like! I used Skippy natural, because I'm a Skippy lover to the core.

Here's a picture of me filling my sandwiches! (Thanks mom for taking this photo)

Once you have those filled, you can put the second half of the bananas on top to make sandwiches.

Next, throw these in the freezer for about an hour. This allows them to set so they won't fall apart on the next stage.

Once they've been thoroughly frozen, melt chocolate. You can melt any kind of chocolate in any way you'd like. Whether you prefer milk, dark, semi-sweet, or even white, these will taste good!
I'll admit I cheated and bought a melt and make microwaveable chocolate. But there is always the good ol' double broiler method to melting chocolate as well!
It's pretty simple from there, you simply dip each sandwich so that it is fully covered in chocolate. Once they've been dipped and put back on the tray, simply put them back in the freezer to allow the chocolate to set! Your covering doesn't even have to be pretty, mine wasn't!

See? Not very pretty, but still delicious!

My mom and I are currently obsessed with these treats! they disappeared rather fast in our house! I recommend storing them in a tupperware in the refrigerator after they have set. We originally kept them in the freezer and couldn't eat them until they thawed--and who wants to wait?!

I also had a "helper" in my kitchen. This is my furfew, Jäger  who I was watching while my sister was on her honeymoon! He sat next to me the entire time and begged, but hey isn't he cute?!

Be true, be you.

Hello, hello!

Today, I'm going to get a little serious. In life we meet a multitude of people. Some of these people are wonderful people who become our friends. Others are not wonderful; these sort often try to bring us down. In my life I have had one of these people. They strived to bring me down and to make me less than what I am. For awhile they succeeded. But now I am free and I am realizing we should never let anyone make us feel like less than what we are. Everyone is unique and special in their own way and that should be celebrated. So to remind myself, I made this sign to put in my room:
I learned through my experience to never let anyone make me think less of myself. I will never let anyone dull my sparkle again. I am beautiful, strong, and kind. I am me and I am perfect just the way I am. And you are too, never let anyone make you think differently.

As always, if your are interested in any custom decoration or design please email candlcustomdesigns@gmail.com or leave us a comment below.

This picture would cost $15.

Wine Glass Wednesday!

Hello, hello!

I know, I'm fired since it is Thursday not Wednesday. Would it help if I blamed the dog I'm watching? He's really cute!

Isn't he cute?!
I'll admit he's slightly crazy too, but he's a puppy.

Okay, focusing now! Today's wine glass Wednesday is Tink themed! Yes, with sparkles too!
Here's a look!

And here is a close up of the personalization:

 What do you think?

This wine glass would cost $20 with the Sparkles and $12 without.

Throwback to Graduation! #tbt

C here, and back in June I graduated from college (WOOHOO!), so today's post is a throwback Thursday. Now, I don't know if you have seen the new trend of decorating graduation caps, but I have. It is becoming increasingly popular for grads to personalize the top of their caps with everything from quotes and exclamations to their name and degree. I certainly couldn't show up without a decorated cap! Are you ready?

If you are a Harry Potter nerd like I am (and maybe even if you're not) you will appreciate this reference! Is it perfect or what? Mischief and college go together like peanut butter and jelly--I think we can all admit that! The sparkles, pink, and bow are just a few other things that represent me.

The best part? You could easily have a decal like this for your own cap! Or you could get a decal for water bottles, book covers, laptops and more! This decal would cost $5 plus shipping!

Wine Glass Wednesday

Hello everyone in blog land!

I have decided that from now on Wednesday's are Wine Glass Wednesdays! Every Wednesday I will be featuring a special wine glass we have created.

This weeks Wine Glass Wednesday or WGW is Disney themed! More specifically, WGW is featuring a personalized Mickey Mouse glass. If you're a Disney fan, you'll love this glass too.

While this isn't technically a Wine Glass (okay, it's technically a goblet). It is close enough and since I know L very well, I wouldn't be surprised if it was used as a Wine Glass!

A personalized Mickey Glass like this would cost $15 plus shipping and handling. If you're interested in a glass like this or any other custom design, please e-mail us at CandLcustomdesigns@gmail.com
